The Venmo Small Business Grant is a new grant program for emerging and small businesses. It provides financial grants and mentorship services to 20 new and existing Venmo Business Profile customers. Special consideration is given to business owners from historically underrepresented communities, many of whom may face additional barriers to growth.

Venmo is a mobile payment application designed to simplify sending and receiving money as well as paying for other services. Venmo is a PayPal company with over 80 million users.

From an app built for friends and family, to a tool for small businesses, Venmo now helps power some of the most creative and passionate solopreneurs in the country.
To help these emerging businesses build resilience, grow, and succeed, Venmo selected 20 solopreneurs and small businesses to receive a $10,000 grant, pro bono technical expertise and mentorship services. The inaugural year winners represent a diverse group of entrepreneurs, from a black-owned bakery to a LGBTQ+ owned nonbinary clothing company.
Assets produced included lifecycle touchpoints (to prospective users and existing business profile account holders), social media assets, and recipient communications.
